International Faculty Development Seminars
The world is changing all the time, and the only way to truly
understand our place in it is to see if for ourselves. Participate in a
one-or two-week CIEE International Faculty Development Seminar (IFDS) in any one
of 28 countries abroad, and bring that singular perspective home to benefit your
work.
Catalyst Trip
Participants of diverse age, race, education, faith, nationality and ethnicity
Visits to historically significant locations
Interactions with community-based women leaders
Creation of sacred, safe, challenging space for discussion and reflection
Intensive workshops on white privilege and racism

The
National Academies Research Associateship Programs
The mission of the National Research Council's
Research Associateship Program is to provide advanced training for highly
qualified postdoctoral and visiting scientists, while enhancing the research
conducted in federal laboratories. This mission is accomplished by recruiting,
and competitively selecting, postdoctoral and senior scientists for research
awards in the laboratories of more than 30 federal sponsors (see Addendum for
more information on the National Academies and the history of the NRC program).

Scholars Academy

Research Corporation
Research Corporation, Americas first foundation for science
advancement, has recently completed its strategic plan and has made significant
changes to its Cottrell College Science Award program. The Cottrell
College Science Award has been split into Single Investor programs. The
guidelines, submission information and eligibility quiz for the Single Investor
Program can be found on their website.
National
Humanities Center Fellowships 2009-2010
Offering 40 residential fellowships for advanced study in the humanities during
the academic year, September 2009 through May 2010.
Connect 2 Canada
The Canadian Government, through its Embassy and Consulates in the United
States, supports research, conferences, teaching, and program acitivity related
to Canada and/or Canada-US relations. Our grants program seeks to
encourage comparative research and teaching, faculty exchanges, student
mobility, and collaboration between American and Canadian researchers. We
also seek to build stronger ties between American and Canadian universities and
colleges.
Franklin Fellow
Program
A sabbatical opportunity to spend a year in Washington working on such policy
matters as bilateral and multilateral affairs, human rights, international
trade, energy and finance, democracy-building, avian flu and other pandemics,
policy aspects of HIV/AIDS, political-military affairs, and many more topics.
The Washington Center seminar,
“Campaign 2008: The Presidential Inauguration”
An opportunity to nominate students to be present for the
inauguration and to spend ten days studying the presidency from an academic
perspective under the tutelage of nationally-recognized experts. For every ten
students, the program will offer a scholarship, and will consider hiring an
accompanying faculty member (who will receive free housing).
