            Change to the couse will introduce students to the linguistics of a specific language or language family.  Students will become familiar with relevant aspects of phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and lexicon.  Linguistics of the Romance Languages, Field Methods, and Historical Linguistics will be regular topics; other topics will be determined by faculty student interests.
